As harvest season approaches, life on the farm gets busier, and being prepared can make all the difference.
 

Join the Women’s Ag Network for a practical, encouraging conversation about farm safety and emergency preparedness featuring The Dairy Wife. This presentation will cover basic farm first aid, steps you can take before an emergency happens, and ways to help protect your family, employees, and operation.
 

Thanks to the generous partnership of South Dakota CattleWomen and South Dakota Corn, we will give away a Farm Emergency Kit at each location. Kits include a tourniquet, QuickClot, Coban, CPR shield, whistle, emergency weather blanket, trauma shears, gauze, Band-Aids, burn cream, plus a comprehensive guide on how and when to use each item.
 

Because farm safety is everyone's business, this event is open to all teens and adults (men and women). You’ll leave with greater confidence, useful information, practical ideas you can put into place on your own farm or ranch, and tools to help you be better prepared when an emergency happens.

This session will help women in agriculture understand the key elements of estate planning and how thoughtful preparation can protect their families, assets, and agricultural legacy. Cherie Coleman, SVP and Trust Department Manager at Pioneer Bank & Trust, will walk participants through important considerations, common planning gaps, and practical steps for getting a plan in place.

Attendees will leave with a clearer understanding of how estate planning can support both personal goals and the long-term future of the farm, ranch, or ag business.

Join us for a behind-the-scenes tour of Blume Foods, a family-owned food production business near Redfield that is passionate about providing fresh, locally produced foods to consumers across northeast South Dakota. From hydroponically grown lettuce and farm-fresh eggs to value-added food products, Blume Foods combines innovation with agriculture to bring food from farm to table.
 

During our visit, we'll tour their hydroponic growing system, commercial kitchen, and food processing areas while learning how the Blume family has built and expanded their business. They'll share their journey into food production, how they grow and package their products, and the opportunities and challenges that come with creating value-added agricultural products.
